Over the last 70 years,
the Wisconsin Architects Foundation (WAF) has

  • awarded more than half a million dollars in WAF scholarships to Wisconsin architecture students,
  • established a School of Architecture & Urban Planning at UW-Milwaukee,
  • supported professional development by sponsoring local and international speakers,
  • provided grants to educational programs for children and young students,
  • and restored the historic Joseph J. Stoner House in Madison, a National Landmark and the current headquarters of WAF and AIA Wisconsin.

WAF is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity and gifts are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

01  Out-of-State Study

WAF offers a number of scholarships to outstanding Wisconsin students who are pursuing architectural studies out-of-state at a NAAB or CACB-accredited School of Architecture within a First Professional Degree or Post-graduate Degree Program.

02  Grant Initiative

WAF’s Grant Initiative supports architectural research, inquiry and investigation through projects and programs that increase public awareness of the importance of design in the environments in which we live, work, play and learn.

03  Scholarships

Including the Milwaukee Chapter CSI Scholarship, the AIA Southwest Wisconsin Universal Design Scholarship, the William M. Babcock, Hon. AIA, Sesquicentennial Garden Fund, and the William M. Babcock, Hon. AIA, Leadership Fund.
